Beast Ink ECHL All-Star Tyanulin to 2018-19 Deal

BRAMPTON ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast of the ECHL are proud to officially announce the signing of forward Artur Tyanulin to a Standard Player Contract for the 2018-19 season.

“Artur is a highly-skilled forward that has a great combination of speed and offensive playmaking abilities. Our objective as a coaching staff is to help him establish himself as a regular and top-end player, ” said Beast Manager of Hockey Operations Frederic Lemay.

Tyanulin, 21, completed his first professional season with the Fort Wayne Komets this past year. The shifty Russian forward notched 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 39 games.

The skilled player was rewarded for his productive first professional season with a trip to the ECHL All-Star game.

He was also productive in the playoffs for the Komets, scoring three goals and five points over the course of 11 games.

Tyanulin was also called up to the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League for eight games, where he registered one assist with the club.

The native of Kazan, Russia started off with the Russian team Irbis Kazan of the MHL before joining the Ottawa 67s’s of the Ontario Hockey League. He would spend two full seasons in the OHL and was able to accumulate 143 points in 147 games.

The forward also added 12 playoff points in 11 games over the course of two years in the postseason with the 67’s.

Tyanulin also has some hardware in the trophy case. He was a Russia U15 and U16 Champion, a Russia U16 Silver Medalist and made the U17 WHC All-Star Team.

“I’m excited to be on the team. I think it will be a hot season for Brampton. I can’t wait to start the season,” said Tyanulin.

Tyanulin becomes the fourth player under the age of 22 signed by the Brampton Beast this offseason, joining Austin McEneny, Hugo Enock and Leo Lazarev as the club continues to bolster their roster with youth.

Brampton has also added a mixture of veteran experience and will be led by the likes of Brandon Marino, Jordan Henry, Kris Newbury and David Pacan among others.
